Frequently asked
Why did Square / QuickBooks Payments / AxisCare Bill & Collect deny me?
Those processors share underwriting databases (LexisNexis, IDology). Once one denies you, the others often will on the same data — frequently because of personal credit. Stripe's underwriting model is different, and with Stripe Connect Express (the platform-vouched path) the bar is lower again.
Is Stripe Connect different from Stripe?
Yes. Stripe Connect Express is the path platforms (like AgenciesForge) use to onboard merchants. Underwriting is partially vouched by the platform, which materially raises approval rates for owners with low personal credit.
What does AgenciesForge actually charge?
Stripe takes their standard fee (2.9% + 30¢ card / 0.8% capped at $5 ACH). AgenciesForge takes a 1% platform application fee on each transaction. No setup, no per-transaction add-on, no minimum.
What if I'm denied at Stripe Connect too?
Rare on Connect Express, but possible. We help — write to support and we'll connect you with an account specialist. Alternatives include Helcim (interchange-plus, friendly underwriting desk) or ACH-only solutions like GoCardless that skip card-network underwriting entirely.
Do I lose my existing client cards-on-file?
If they're stored in your old processor, no — cards-on-file are processor-specific. Patients re-enter their card the first time they pay through AgenciesForge. Future autopay / payment plans use the card-on-file we capture on the connected account.
How fast can I switch?
Onboarding takes ~10 minutes (Stripe Connect Express identity verification + bank link). First payout is ~2 business days after first charge. Total switchover usually less than a day.
