Running DD/IDD on Therap and BH on something else? Unify both.
Therap Services is the dominant DD-provider documentation platform — T-Logs, GERs, ISPs, MAR. It's also missing an actual EHR, real billing, AI tooling, and any BH-side workflow. Most agencies end up running Therap plus a generic EHR plus a separate clearinghouse — three logins, three vendor contracts, three different data silos.
AgenciesForge ships DD/IDD waiver workflows + BH charting + Stedi clearinghouse + AI Forge in one platform.

What Therap does that we don't (yet)
State portal direct integrations: Therap has years of relationships with state-Medicaid portals for direct submission. We currently export to formats that you upload to the portal; direct API integration is on the roadmap for the largest states (Ohio, NY, CA) once we have customer volume justifying the engineering work.
Brand recognition with state surveyors: Therap is the default in many state-DD systems. When a surveyor sees Therap logs, they know the format. AgenciesForge audit-bundle ZIPs are CARF/COA/TJC-formatted but are newer in the survey ecosystem.
National DSP-only deployments: If your agency is exclusively DSP work (no clinical staff, no BH services, no billing of your own), Therap remains a fine choice. AgenciesForge shines when DD work runs alongside BH services, billing, and credentialed staff — the integrated workflow is the value.
How agencies typically migrate
- Export patient + provider + ISP directory from Therap (CSV reports).
- Import into AgenciesForge → Patients → CSV import. Bulk patient + ISP records land in ~10 minutes.
- Train DSPs on the AI Forge dictation flow — most learn it in 15 minutes (faster than typing T-Logs).
- Cut over on a billing-cycle boundary. New T-Logs + claims in AgenciesForge; close out any open Therap investigations there.
- Archive Therap (downgrade to read-only / lowest tier) for HIPAA retention. Most agencies keep one read-only login for ~$30/mo for the 7-year retention floor.
Common questions
Can we run Therap alongside AgenciesForge during transition?
Yes. Most agencies keep Therap live for ~60 days during a migration so any pending GER investigations or MUI follow-ups close out cleanly. We import the patient + ISP + provider directory via CSV; you keep running T-Logs in Therap until the cutover date you choose.
Does AgenciesForge actually understand state DD authorities?
Yes — state-specific paths for the 7 largest IDD authorities: Ohio DODD, NY OPWDD, CA DDS, FL APD, PA ODP, TX HHSC IDD, OR BHDDA. Each carries the right admin-code references, MUI portal links, waiver names, and DSP-training requirements. The AI Forge agent reads your state from the agency doc and conditionally injects DD scope into the system prompt.
What about MAR (Medication Administration Records)?
Built in. DSPs log med admin, missed doses, PRN admins. The chart surfaces a MAR view aligned to whatever schedule the prescriber set. WENO ePrescribing integration means new Rxs flow into the MAR automatically — Therap requires you to type them in.
How does pricing compare?
Therap is per-user-per-month (~$3-5 PUPM for the basic DSP tier, more for clinical features). At 20 DSPs you're at $60-100/mo just for DSP logins, plus you still need an EHR + billing. AgenciesForge is capacity-tiered ($199/$499/$1,099 by active patient count) with unlimited DSP + clinician seats included.
Is the AI Forge useful for DSP-level documentation?
Yes — DSPs can dictate a T-Log via the floating mic, AI Forge structures it into the right T-Log format, the chart surfaces it for clinician review. The mic-driven workflow is the killer feature for DSPs working in community settings on a phone — Therap's interface assumes a desktop browser.
