Honesty check — TherapyNotes is better than us at:
- Solo therapist UX. If you're a single LISW with 30 clients, TherapyNotes is faster to set up.
- Brand recognition with payers. 100k+ clinicians use TherapyNotes — clearinghouses know the format cold.
- Years of incremental polish. We're newer; some workflows you've drilled into muscle memory will move.
For a 5-50 clinician agency, those advantages don't outweigh the pricing + bundled-stack gap. For a solo therapist, stay on TherapyNotes — we don't market to that segment.
Migration in 30 minutes
Per the 7-day demo path:
- Export your patient list from TherapyNotes (Reports → Patient List → CSV).
- Drop into Patients → Import. Column names auto-detected.

Yes — full upstream BAA chain (AWS Bedrock + GCP + Stedi + iFax + Resend + Twilio + Stripe). Counsel-approved customer BAA signed in-account before first patient. PHI encrypted at rest with AES-256-GCM. SOC 2 Type 1 audit in progress.
Will this work for our DD/IDD waiver program?
That's our specialty — TherapyNotes doesn't handle waiver workflows (MUI, PCP, DSP credentialing, EVV) and you're probably running them in Excel or a separate state-portal login.
